Raise the Bhar
Accessibility Statement
Bhar Printing wants everyone, including people using assistive technology, to be able to find our services, get a quote, and reach us by phone. This page explains what we’ve done to make bharprinting.com accessible, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us if you run into a problem.
Last updated: July 29, 2026.
We want to be direct about one thing first: we have not commissioned a formal accessibility audit of this site, and we do not claim that bharprinting.com conforms to any level of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) or any other standard. What follows is an honest account of what we’ve built and checked ourselves, not a certification.
What we’ve done
- Clean heading structure. Every page on our site now uses one main heading (H1), with the rest of the content organized under it in a logical order. We recently corrected a sitewide issue where pages carried two H1 headings, so screen reader users navigating by heading now get a single, clear page title.
- Descriptive alt text on content images. Photos of our work, like business cards, brochures, signage, and apparel, carry specific written descriptions rather than generic labels or filenames, so a screen reader user gets a real sense of what’s pictured.
- Keyboard operable navigation. Our services menu can be opened, browsed, and closed entirely from a keyboard. Enter and Space open it, Escape closes it and returns focus to the menu button, and focus is always visible so you can see where you are. The button’s state (open or closed) is kept in sync for screen readers as you use it.
- Responsive layout. Our pages are built to work on small screens, down to 320 pixels wide, without forcing you to scroll sideways to read a page.
What we know still needs work
We would rather tell you what’s imperfect than let you find it yourself:
- One recurring image is missing alt text. A small graphic badge that appears in the footer of every page does not currently have a written description. Every other content image on the site does. We plan to correct this.
- Retired store pages are gone. A handful of leftover shopping cart and account pages from an older version of the site carried no page heading. They have been removed rather than repaired, since we do not operate a store here.
- Pinch to zoom is currently restricted on mobile browsers by a setting in our page template. This can make it harder for people who zoom in to read text to do so. We’re aware of it and looking at removing that restriction.
We expect this list to change over time, in both directions, as we find and fix things and as we learn about new ones. This statement will always reflect our current honest understanding, not a finished state.
Tell us if something doesn’t work
If you use assistive technology and run into something on our site that doesn’t work the way it should, we want to hear about it. We can’t promise every fix happens instantly, but we will listen and we will act on real, specific reports.
Call us at 317.899.1020, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, or send details through our quote request form. We don’t publish an email address, so phone or the form are the two ways to reach us. Let us know what page you were on, what device or assistive technology you were using, and what happened, and we’ll look into it.
Changes to this statement
We’ll update this page as we make accessibility improvements or find new issues. The “Last updated” date at the top of the body copy always reflects the most recent revision.
Questions We Hear Often
Is bharprinting.com WCAG compliant?
We don’t claim any specific level of WCAG conformance, because we haven’t had the site formally audited against it. This page describes, honestly, what we’ve built and what we know is still imperfect.
What should I do if I find an accessibility problem on your site?
Call 317.899.1020 or use our quote request form to describe what happened, including the page and the device or assistive technology you were using. We’ll look into it.
Can I use your services menu with a keyboard only?
Yes. Our main services menu opens with Enter or Space, closes with Escape, and keeps a visible focus indicator throughout, so you can navigate it without a mouse.
Does your site work on a small phone screen?
Yes. Our pages are built to display correctly down to 320 pixels wide without any sideways scrolling.
